In the spotlight this week is Sheilah Lavenda, an esteemed alumna of The Eldoret National Polytechnic, graduating with a diploma in Civil Engineering in the class of 2010. Her journey from Eldoret, Kenya, to the bustling streets of Cape Town, South Africa, and now to the halls of Moi University School of Law is nothing short of inspiring.

After completing her diploma, Sheilah’s thirst for knowledge and ambition led her to Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town, where she pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Her dedication and expertise quickly earned her roles as a construction manager on various projects, including the construction of Voorspoed Primary School in Cape Town.

Returning to her roots in Eldoret, Sheilah served as an Assistant Engineer, specializing in structural design and quantities for the construction of the Eldoret Southern Bypass. Her contributions to this critical infrastructure project have left a lasting impact on the community, showcasing her proficiency and commitment to excellence.

But Sheilah’s journey doesn’t stop there. Despite her accomplishments in the field of engineering, she has set her sights on new horizons, currently pursuing a degree in law at Moi University School of Law.
