New Advocates Admitted to the Bar, Urged to Uphold Justice and Constitutionalism

In a ceremony held at the Law Society of Kenya, newly admitted advocates were welcomed into the legal profession by the President, Faith Odhiambo. The event marked a significant milestone in their careers as they took on the role of guardians of justice and human rights in Kenya.

President Faith Odhiambo expressed her esteemed privilege in welcoming the new advocates, acknowledging their dedication and perseverance in achieving this milestone. She emphasized the crucial role they now play, especially amidst current challenges facing the country.

“It is my distinguished honour to welcome the newly admitted advocates to the Bar. Congratulations to each of you on this momentous achievement,” President Faith remarked.

Addressing the advocates directly, she highlighted the pivotal responsibilities they inherit as defenders of justice and the voiceless in society. “You join the profession at a time our country needs you more than ever,” she stated, urging them to uphold the principles of the rule of law and constitutionalism tirelessly.

“As you set out into the uncertain venture of legal practice, be rest assured that the Law Society of Kenya will stand with you, and we are ready to support you in all means necessary to enable you to thrive,” President Faith assured the advocates.

The ceremony also included words of encouragement from senior members of the legal fraternity, underscoring the challenges and rewards of a career dedicated to upholding justice. The new advocates were urged to maintain the highest ethical standards and to continually seek justice for all.
