Moiben MP Silas Tiren Refutes Claims of Joining UDA Party
Moiben Member of Parliament Silas Tiren has refuted claims that he has joined the UDA party.
The party is linked to the deputy president William Ruto.
Tiren said he is still in the Jubilee party where he was elected in the 2017 general elections.
“I want to refute claims going on the social media that I have joined UDA party, I want to say in broad daylight that I am still in Jubilee party which I was elected in and currently the chairman of the Agriculture Committee,” said the Moiben member of parliament while speaking to the press.
Tiren who was elected on a jubilee party ticket is serving his second term as Moiben member of parliament.
He has been a big supporter of the Baringo Senator Gideon Moi presidential bid and a big critique of the deputy president William Samoei Presidential bid.
It’s only time that will tell if he will be reelected as the Member of Parliament or not since Uasin Gishu is deputy president William Ruto’s bedroom and anyone going against him cannot be elected even a cattle dip MCA.
Tiren however, did not reveal the party he will be using in the forthcoming general elections.
“Concerning the party, I will be using to seek reelection, let’s cross the bridge when we reach there. Let us wait for six months then ask me the same question,” he added.
Tiren who has been at the forefront of fighting for the rights of farmers is currently the chairman of the Agriculture committee in the National Assembly.
