Chepkorio Sub County Hospital nets Sh7M for medical equipment

Chepkorio sub county hospital is set for a major upgrade following an allocation of Sh7 million by the residents for x-ray, orthopaedic, and radiology services.
In a public participation exercise held in Nyaru social hall, education was also prioritized with an allocation of Sh8.5 million for the bursaries and Sh1.5 million for ECDE capitation.

Ambulance services received Sh1.5 million for ambulance services, while Community Health Promoters will contend with Sh4 million.
Wezesha program, Governor Wisley Rotich’s initiative to empower youth with tools of trade Sh750,000 as his Pesa Mfukoni program also got a shor in the arm following a Sh1.6m allocation for pyrethrum seeds.

Others were FLOCCA merging grant of Sh2.5 Million, Nyaru town physical planning Sh1 million and Sh600,000 for roads.
Livestock disease intervention was allocated Sh1.3 million,Cooperative department Sh1 million for revolving fund and Sh300,000 for peace building.
The team was led by Roads CEC Emily Kosgei and Michael Kibiwott (health).

Present also were MCA Kimeli, COs Lorna Kipsang, Emmanuel Birir, Edwin Komen, and other County Staff.
