Governor Bii’s Administration Committed to Improve Health Services
The County Government of Uasin Gishu is committed to improving the oral health hygiene of its residents by installing dental units in Ziwa, Kapteldon, Uasin Gishu District Hospital, Kesses, Burnt Forest and Turbo health facilities.
The installation is a significant stride towards ensuring that the community has access to quality oral healthcare services whereby service providers can examine, manipulate, treat, restore and remove the client’s teeth thus enhancing the overall oral health of the residents.
In a recent visit to Kesses Sub County Hospital, Governor Jonathan Bii emphasized the importance of maintaining oral hygiene saying it helps in the early detection of heart problems, reduces the risk of cancer, and improves individuals’ overall health care thus cushioning residents against tooth losses.
The County Government is taking a proactive approach towards improving the community’s health by spreading awareness about the significance of oral health and providing the necessary infrastructure to address dental issues.
The County Boss also rallied the residents to take advantage of the county-installed dental units within their reach for efficient service delivery.
Health Services County Executive Committee Member Dr Abraham Serem noted that with these units individuals will have the opportunity to receive comprehensive dental examinations, necessary treatments, and preventative care therefore the need for regular dental check-ups and preventive care.
