Governor Bii’s Government Poised to Improve Health Sector
Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Bii now says his administration is poised to improve public health.
He says this will help in the reduction of infectious diseases.
“My administration is committed to improving public health promotion and prevention in order to reduce the spread of infectious diseases in our county,” said the Uasin Gishu governor.
Bii spoke after he hosted Dr. Josephine Mburu, the Ps for State Department of Public Health and Professional Standards, who called at his office.
The PS is in the county to assess readiness for this year’s World Tuberculosis Day, which is set for March 24 at the Huruma grounds.
“The county has seen an increase in tuberculosis cases, and there is an urgent need to educate our citizens on preventive measures and early diagnosis in order to combat the disease’s spread,” he added.
