Huruma Residents Decry Drug Shortage at the Huruma Sub-county Hospital
A section of Huruma residents has decried a shortage of drugs and other services at Huruma Sub-county Hospital.
Led by Harun Maina said that there have been a lot of complaints from residents concerning the management of the Hospital.
“As Huruma residents we are not happy with how the hospital is being run, there are no medicine and laboratory services. There have been a lot of complaints about the hospital and we are calling upon our governor to help us solve the issue,” he said.
They however blamed the area MCA for sabotaging Governor Jonathan Bii’s efforts of upgrading the hospital to level four.
“We came to this hospital this week on Wednesday and we were told the problems facing the facility after being sent by the governor, It is sad that the area MCA came with goons and tore the report that we were given,” he said.
“We want to ask our MCA since we know you have medical insurance. We want to know why you don’t want the report to be given,” he added.
Veronicah Njeri called on Governor Bii to visit the facility for him to know what is happening and should not depend on his close allies since they give false information.
“Our abled governor we are calling upon you to come to the facility and see what we are telling you, as we are talking we have no drugs, the services at the hospital are pathetic and it’s you governor who can help us please come to our rescue,” she said.
Jeremiah Rambo says “This is a very big facility and it’s a shame that it does not have drugs, governor Bii do something since residents are suffering and the only place where thye can get health service is at the facility,”
