I am Not Involved in the Prisons Land Issue- Governor Natembeya

Trans-Nzoia governor George Natembeya now says he is not involved in the prisons land issue.

He says those peddling lies are meant to tarnish his good name .

“Some have raised concerns about prison lands in Trans Nzoia. Let me be clear: my administration is not involved in this issue. It’s a matter for the national government, and I urge others to respect this. Trans Nzoia residents deserve better than political gamesmanship, ” said governor Natembeya

“Negotiations with the national government are ongoing, and I’m hopeful for a positive outcome, ” he added.

He spoke after joining Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and other leaders for a service at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Kwanza.

He later supported a funds drive for the church.

“In Trans Nzoia, we believe in supporting all members of our society, regardless of background. That’s why I’m committed to building a cosmopolitan county where everyone has a voice and a role to play in our development, ” he noted.
