Iten County Referral Hospital: Patients Get Free Eye Surgery
Patients with eye problems trooped to Iten County Referral Hospital ICRH where the department of Health Services is undertaking one week free eye surgical camp.
According to Dr. Marion Kurgat, the lead surgeon at the facility, the program runs upto Friday 29th.
The exercise is supported by partners including Charity Vision, Kenya Society for the blind and One sight international.
People with eye problems are encouraged to visit Iten ICRH throughout the week.
By Monday afternoon, 30 people, mostly of them comprising the elderly had been lined up for surgical operation.
Cataract surgery is the most common refractive surgical procedure performed on aging People.
