Jonathan Bii Alias Koti Moja Pays Secondary Fee for a Bright and Needy Student
Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant Jonathan Bii alias Koti Moja has come to the rescue of Sophie Jepchumba who had stayed at home due to a lack of fees.
Bii promised to pay her entire secondary school fees.
Jepchumba who scored 330 marks comes from a humble background where affording a single meal per day is a problem.
“I have taken a personal initiative of undertaking the responsibility of paying school fees for Sophie Jepchumba who has today joined Kerotet High school,” said Bii alias Koti Moja.
Sophie is being taken care of by a jobless single mother of three.
“Sophie scored 330 marks in her KCPE and she comes from a humble background, her single mother of three could not raise the requisite amount required due to the common economic challenge faced,” he added.
He says he will increase bursary allocations of elected governors in the August polls.
“I intend to broaden the County’s bursary kitty under my objective plan of enabling the many needy cases of such ilk within our County in my bid to turn dreams into practical future realities. I wish Sophie all the best in her knowledge-seeking endeavor.

Bii who was nominated on UDA party ticket will be facing the Uasin Gishu Guberetorila seat on an independent party ticket Zedekiah Bundotich alias Buzeki in the August polls.
Bii further said he will conduct peaceful campaigns and called on others to follow suit saying elections are just a one-day affair and Kenyans should not be divided.
He says that once elected he will ensure that youths are enrolled in technical institutions for them to gain technical skills and knowledge.
“I will ensure that I have taken youths to technical school to do mechanical courses, joinery, carpentry, electrical, building, and construction. Currently, the best paying job is white-collar collar jobs let’s enroll to technical institutions for a better tomorrow,” he said.
“Ensure youths get necessary skills to come and do business in town and that I will also build shades for the Juakali people for them to work in a conducive environment.
He noted he will increase bursary allocation once elected as governor and will ensure more needy and bright students access quality education.
“Once elected as governor I will increase the money allocated for a bursary from the current 120 million shillings which was set by the outgoing governor Jackson Mandago to 300 million shillings so that needy and bright students access education, ” said Koti Moja.
He says he will allocate an additional 100 million in terms of scholarship.
Bii says that his administration will construct modern markets to provide a conducive business environment for hawkers.
“ I will offer a stimulus package for business people women and youth and make sure that I increase the business fund since business is the sole of everything in Uasin Gishu. We will give youth funds to start a business,” he added.
He says he will ensure that all health facilities are equipped.
“Health is key will ensure that I equip them with modern facilities which will help in the diagnosis of diseases instead f referring them to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.
Under his administration, Bii says he will pump a lot of money into agriculture which will help subsidize the fertilizer prices.
“I will increase funds in cooperative for them to subsidize fertilizers where they will buy them in bulk thus reducing the high prices of fertilizers.
Bii says he will reduce the levies charged to the bodaboda operators by half for them to reap from their sweat.
“All the business community especially bodaboda I will relook at the high. We will reduce from the current price of 600 to 300 shillings and we will agree on the ways that will help boda bod a’s operate favorably in the county,” he said.
“I will also promote talents development and allocate funds to ensure youths practice their talents and come up strongly. I will build an amphitheater in Eldoret so that children can showcase their talents,” he said.
The Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant said the cat and mouse game between Kanjo and hawkers will be a thing of the past since they will be human and handle them with decorum.
He says his government will be all-inclusive “if there is a governor that will listen to you is me, I will listen to everyone regardless of his political and tribal affiliation. Uasin Gishu is a cosmopolitan town and I will treat everyone equally,” said the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant.
