Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant on UDA party ticket Jonathan Bii alias Koti Moja has promised to ensure that every household is connected with water if elected come August

Bii says “Water is a fundamental factor in the sustainable development process and is critical for socio-economic development and promotion of healthy ecosystems and that the natural resources are the main contributors in income generation, fiscal revenue and poverty reduction since they play the primary role of production capital,” said Bii alias Koti moja.

He noted that it is the responsibility of society, to maintain a conscious approach to the management, protection, and conservation of natural resources for sustainable development and posterity.

“Under the Nguzo Kumi progressive plan, water provision is an elemental area that I intend to focus on with a view of ensuring a constant supply to our ECDEs, Health centers, and major urban markets including but not limited to Moi’s Bridge, Burnt Forest, Jua Kali, Ziwa, Moiben, and other upcoming urban settings to improve on sanitation and health provision standards,” the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant says.

He says he will embark on an exercise of cleaning existing dams in a bid to increase our access to water both for domestic and commercial use including irrigation and other agricultural endeavors.

“Planting of trees is an effort under my plans aimed at safeguarding and conserving our natural habitats while enhancing the beautification of the environment. We owe our environment the duty of reducing overconsumption of our natural resources, develop mechanisms of reusing and recycling them in order to boost sustainable development,” he added.

On infrastructure Bii says it is a crucial part of the development process in that it provides the efficient scope for the relative expansion of industries through forward and backward linkages.

“In line with our common dream of positioning our County as an industrial hub, reliable infrastructural development ought to be prioritized as a requisite area towards which industrial development can be fast-tracked in order to create sustainable jobs. Under the people-centered Nguzo Kumi progressive plan, I will ensure an all-time improvement and maintenance of all our road networks for easy and efficient movement of people, goods, and services,” he said.

He says he will ensure that all infrastructural projects are done in standard desirable quality under a cost-effective plan while providing value for money to our people.

“I will also work with stakeholder players to develop a well-structured and efficient transport management system in order to address the perennial congestion issue. All these interventions are geared towards unlocking our development potential for wealth creation and sustainability,” he added.
