Kenya Kwanza leaders Hit At Raila For Calling for Manual Voter Register
Kenya Kwanza leaders have hit at the Azimio La Umoja presidential aspirant Raila Odinga for saying he will boycott general elections if IEBC will not have a manual register.
Speaking to the press in Eldoret town led by Nandi Senator Kiprotich Cherargei and Nominated MP Wilson Sosian the move is uncalled for and ill-intended.
‘It’s sad that our competitors who are now fearing election since they have sensed defeat and now want to boycott the August polls because IEBC will not use manual register, this show he has feared our candidate and has sensed defeat,” said Nandi Senator Kiprotich Cherargei.
They said it was sad that Odinga himself wanted a digital electronic voter register and now wonders what has changed.
“Nullification of presidential results was because of manual register document being used to mess elections why is he playing double standards.IEBC should fully undertake 2022 elections from beginning to closure using the digital system and should avoid the use of manual register at all cost,” said Sossion.
They further called on Kenyans to maintain peace before, during, and after the August polls.
‘I want to call upon Kenyans from all divides to matter the candidate you are supporting to maintain peace since your neighbor will still be your neighborhood even after elections and you should put in mind that we don’t have a spare country,” Nandi Senator Kiprotich Cherargei noted.
They called on the IEBC to ensure that they conduct free and fair elections that cannot be contested by either party.
“IEBC should ensure that they conduct free and fair elections where if one wins he or she wins fairly and if he or she is defeated,” they added.
