OUT OF GOVERNOR’S RACE? NOT ME- MULOMI
Busia Deputy Governor, H.E Moses Mulomi has dismissed social media reports orchestrated by some perpetrators that he has been disqualified from the race by DAP-Kenya as a figment of their imagination.
Mulomi who has deputized Governor, H.E Sospeter Ojaamong since 2017 said his pursuit to become the
second governor of the great county of Busia is still on course.
” The rumour making rounds in social media and other sources is a big lie. I recently received a certificate to vie for the gubernatorial position during the August 9th, 2022 polls on DAP-K ticket,” he said, urging county residents to shun the rumour.
He added: ” The rumour originated from some of my opponents who perceive me as a major threat should my name appear on the ballot. Let’s unite and ensure we get the seat.”
H.E Mulomi said he is a workaholic who cannot be cowed by intimidation or falsehood, pledging county residents of his resolve to better their livelihoods if elected the second governor.
He outlined his priorities if given the mantle to lead. The Deputy Governor said his ambition is to see the business sector prosper and agriculture given facelift through value addition.
The Deputy Governor said he will ensure the actualization of the Facility Improvement Fund to enable operations in health facilies continue uninterrupted, noting that drugs shortage will be a thing of the past.
He said his administration will put more efforts to increase water coverage across the county from Changara to Osieko that currently stands at 56 percent to enable more residents access clean and safe drinking water.
On infrastructure, H.E Mulomi noted that his government will to step up efforts of upgrading more roads to bitumen standards in more urban centres of Nambale, Butula, Mundika and Matayos, Port Victoria, Budalangi and Rwamba, adding that they will add more kilometres of tarmac roads in Amagoro and Kocholia among other towns.
