President Ruto’s Administration Poised For Farmers to Earn Big
The topmost objective of the Ruto Administration is for farmers to earn what they deserve. This will be achieved through the ongoing radical reforms in key Subsectors in Agriculture.
Today, I held a fruitful engagement with senior Kenya Tea Development Agency management officials, at the Official Residence in Karen, Nairobi, on improving benefits to farmers as per the prevailing friendly market dynamics.
Indeed, the higher exchange rate of the US Dollar must benefit the producer of tea-the farmer. This will complement the raft of short-term and long-term measures we are undertaking for sustainable safeguards for the farmer.
As we streamline the Tea Subsector, we look forward to increased production, which will feed into the expanding global market under our strategic focus of economic diplomacy.
The officials included KTDA National Chairman Enos Njeru, Solomon Maina (Chairman KTDA Management Services), Wilson Muthaura (Chief Executive Officer), Simeon Rugutt (Group Finance and Strategy Director), Dorcas Mohammed (Finance Director, Management Services) and Mose Magenya (Board Member).
