Shock as Microphone is Snatched From Ainabkoi MP William Chepkut Amid Chants of Uongo

With only one month remaining to the August general elections, current Ainabkoi MP William Chepkut is having a difficult time defending his seat.

The only soul alive who enjoyed a surprisingly wide support in 2017 is currently facing backlash from the electorates who accuse him of peddling lies and propaganda in a bid to win sympathy votes.

On Saturday in a burial in Kaptagat Ward, Chepkut was forced to cut short his speech after he told the crowd that he had paid university fees for one of their sons.

In the ugly turn of situations, Chupkut was asked to stop lying to the people after he told the crowd that he personally educated one of the young people in the area named Arap Motokaa.

In a video doing rounds in social media, the current Mp is seen speaking before a man unexpectedly snatching a microphone from him and shouting uwongo uwongo.
The Mp was forced to leave the burial as he repeatedly said that he had paid the man’s fees and even employed the wife to his competitor William Cheraisi.

“I personally paid for this man’s (Arap Motokaa) degree…sit down! I say sit down!” said Chepkut as the said man Arap Motokaa walked up to him and snatched the microphone from him.

As pastors moved to calm the situation, Chepkut said he has left it to God because he knows he paid his fees.
“I helped him but I leave it to God” retorted Chepkut.

The sudden turn of events comes hot on the heels of clashes between Chepkut sup
porters and UDA caravan in Kaptagat Ward.

In the ugly confrontations, at least 10 people were injured as Chepkut supporters tried to disrupt a Kenya Kwanza campaign rally in Tendwo.

The rally brought together top UDA candidates in Uasin Gishu County including outgoing governor Jackson Mandago, UDA candidates Jonathan Chelilim alias Koti Moja, Women Rep Gladys Boss Shollei, Kesses candidate Julius Ruto, Moiben’s Philis Bartoo, Soy’s David Kiplagat and Turbo Mp Janet Sitienei.
