St. Paul Parish Chelingwa Officially Opened
Elgeyo Marakwet Deputy Governor Prof. Grace Cheserek graced the official opening and blessing of St. Paul Parish Chelingwa in Kamariny Ward that was presided over by Lordship Bishop Dominic Kimengich.
Bishop Kimengich presided over the ordination of Fr. Alloysuis Melly to be the father of the Parish and offered blessings of a brand new car that will be used by the father.
Prof. Cheserek congratulated the congregants and the community for coming up with the new parish that will strengthen the area’s spiritual needs.
“May the good Lord continue blessing the wonderful deeds of the Fathers and the work of the community at large. We as the county government shall provide the necessary support to see our churches and the religion grows,” she said.
Governor Wisley Rotich’s gospel of cash crop growing was sensitized by Prof. Cheserek urging residents to embrace the initiative for economic prosperity.
She was flanked by CeC Lands and Physical Planning Mr. Thomas Maiyo, Keiyo South MP Gideon Kimaiyo, Keiyo North MP Adams Kipsanai, Mogotio MP Reuben Kiborek and the area MCA Mr. Cheptiony.
