Elgeyo Marakwet Deputy Govenor Applauds Government for Deploying Special DCC 

Elgeyo Marakwet Deputy Govenor Wesly Rotich jas applauded the government   for Posting the Special DCC to coordinate security teams in The three bordering counties in the kerio valley belt.

He says this will   ensure that residents live harmoniously with one another.

“I was privileged to meet Mr.Bernadinoh George at Iten this morning as he was reporting,he  has promised to work with all stakeholders to restore sanity ,stop the killings and pursue criminals to their hideouts,” said the Elgeyo Marakwet Deputy Govenor.

“I urged him to hit the ground immediately in order to ensure our pokot and marakwet communities  live in harmony and resume their daily activities especially reopening of markets,” he added.

He also called on the government to deploy the   RDU  unit   immediately at Dira as agreed  in the last peace meeting attended by CS so as to improve coordination and reduce criminal hideouts.

“As leaders we support all government efforts that will restore peace and normalcy in the mighty Kerio valley,” he said.
