Langas MCA to Defend His Seat on a Jubilee Party Ticket
Langas Ward MCA Francis Muya now says he will defend his seat on a jubilee party ticket.
Speaking to the press after holding a politics sensitization meeting to over 1000 women in his ward Muya said people should elect people and not parties since they are just vehicles.
“I want to say here in broad daylight that in the August polls I will be defending my Lngas Ward seat using the Jubilee Party which is led by President Uhuru Kenyatta. We want to move from politics of tribalism to politics of electing good leaders regardless of their political affiliations,” said the Langas Ward MCA.
Muya further revealed why he did not join the UDA party which is affiliated with the deputy president William Ruto despite being the dominant party in the region.
“When I was told to join UDA part which is linked to the deputy president William Ruto I asked them we formed the government using the Jubilee party where we promised Kenyans we will be in the party for one hundred years, my people are tired of moving from one party to another that’s why I remain in Jubilee,” he added.
He called on Uasin Gishu residents to support opposition leader Raila Odinga presidential bid saying he is the best suited to be the country’s next president.
“I want to call upon Kenyans from all divides to support Odinga’s presidential bid in the August polls since as we were young he has been fighting for this country where he has been influential in bringing the new constitution, multi-partism and Building Bridges Initiative ( BBI) I think this man has a good agenda for this nation that why we are saying we are behind Raila Odinga,” he said.
“In 2007 Deputy President William Ruto supported Odinga because he saw he was a good leader but now I have seen what I did not see in 2007 that he is a good leader, lets come together and support his bid,” he added.
