MSEA Participates in Business Association Policy Toolkit Training to Empower MSMEs
The Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA) Nakuru office recently took part in a pivotal Business Association Policy Toolkit Training organized by SNV at the Nakuru Box Hall. The training, aimed at strengthening the capabilities of Enterprise Support Organizations (ESOs) and Business Associations, provided a platform for key stakeholders to collaborate on enhancing the formalization of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Kenya.
The event, a crucial step in empowering entrepreneurs, saw MSEA actively advocating for the registration of MSMEs into formal business associations. Recognizing the importance of formalization, MSEA emphasized that this process is vital for entrepreneurs to access support, networks, and resources that can drive growth and sustainability.
Attendees at the training included representatives from both county and national government agencies, all of whom are dedicated to supporting entrepreneurship initiatives across the country. The gathering highlighted the importance of creating a conducive environment for MSMEs, which are often seen as the backbone of the Kenyan economy.
Through this training, MSEA reaffirms its commitment to facilitating the formal registration of MSMEs and to promoting a robust business environment where small enterprises can thrive. Empowering MSMEs is seen as a critical step toward achieving economic growth and development, and MSEA’s active participation reflects its leadership role in driving these efforts forward.
As part of its ongoing initiatives, MSEA continues to work closely with business associations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure that the MSME sector is well-supported, organized, and poised for success in both local and global markets.
This training marks a significant milestone in the ongoing journey to uplift entrepreneurs, improve business practices, and ensure sustainable growth for Kenya’s MSMEs.
